Principal's Welcome

Anyone who has had any association with our College would know that we are about people. Our thrust has always been on developing opportunities for young people to grow, both as individuals and as part of our Assumption Community. We have made a conscious effort to provide opportunities for our students to become Christian leaders at our College. By this I do not just refer to our Student Leadership Team, but also the involvement of our students in peer tutoring, preparing of liturgies, assisting with junior sporting teams and joining committees which plan the College formal and year level socials.

We have always encouraged our young people to 'have a go' and not to fear failure. We hope that our students, in their six years at Assumption College, develop a sense of hope, self-belief, respect for others, and a genuine feeling of belonging.

I am privileged to be the first lay Principal of Assumption College and continue to consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to be involved with the Assumption community. I am very excited about the future direction of Assumption College. I ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to continue to help us grow as individuals and as an Assumption Community.
