Parents and Friends role
- Support the children and the school community
- Assist parents identify with and become a part of the Assumption Community
- Provide extra facilities for students and teachers through fund raising
- Promote social contact between parents of students at the College.
Parents and friends is a group of like minded people directly associated with the school through being a parent of an existing student or a former parent of a student that has moved on from Assumption. The Parents and Friends goal is to identify the needs of students groups or individual students and try and help in developing areas of assistance when a need occurs. The Parents and Friends also identify areas of need with facilities for the school community.
Proceeds from fund raising are used to update or purchase items for the school after being identified by the Parents and Friends association or the school faculty.
Funds raised during the years past have gone towards purchasing
- A Grand Piano
- Shelters and seating for the sports fields
- Seating in the Gonzales building
Just to name a few.
