Le Rosey Chapel
Le Rosey Chapel is named for the birthplace of the founder of the Marist Brothers, St. Marcellin Champagnat. The design of the Chapel is one of simplicity, and as such it reflects a key element of Marist Charism. Le Rosey Chapel has been designed for:
- Celebration of the Eucharist
- Class liturgies
- Class reflections
- Class meditation
- Personal prayer
It is also the place of year level liturgies and the weekly Boarders' Mass. It may at times be used by the extended College community for Baptisms, Weddings and Memorial Services.
Le Rosey Chapel was blessed in 2005 by the College's former Boarding Chaplain, Fr. Shane Reade (SDB). Our Chapel is a very welcoming place: the simplicity of its design contributes to how comfortable our young people feel when they enter it. We are lucky to have such a wonderful place available to us to help us as we continue to support and nourish the faith lives of our students. Located at the centre of the College grounds, and incorportaing beautiful windows, Le Rosey Chapel reminds us that the sacredness of the Chapel is not isolated to one place, but that the beliefs celebrated, the questions asked, and the faith shared inside this sacred space are an integral part of our everyday lives.
