Champagnat Music Centre

The Champagnat Music Centre was opened in 2001.

Built specifically to house music classrooms, practice rooms and a performance area, this Centre has seen the biggest expansion in Music tuition and performance in College history. Students are able to receive individual tuition in most instruments through the large number of specialist music teachers who work here at Assumption. The building houses eight individual teaching rooms as well as two music classrooms and a Performance Area which houses our grand piano. A small sound studio is attached to the performance area as well.

The Performace area hosts concerts, talent contests and recitals. In recent years performances by David Helfcott, Simon Tedeschi and Natalie Gauci have taken place in the Music Centre.

The Music Centre is named after the Founder of the Marist Brothers, St Marcellin Champagnat.
